Arnicare Arnica Gel
A little about Arnicare.. taken from their website.
As seasons change, so do our activities. We take up new sports or exercise routines; we take to the outdoors to start gardening again or to tackle a home improvement project. Strains from unaccustomed tasks such as these are likely to cause sore muscles.
Fortunately, there’s Arnica, a convenient, safe and reliable medicine for muscle pain, stiffness and bruises. Arnica has been used for centuries as a natural pain reliever.
Arnica montana is the Latin name for a perennial that grows 1 to 2 feet tall with bright, yellow daisy-like flowers that appear in July and August. It is found on the moist, grassy upland meadows in the hills and mountains of northern and central Europe and Siberia. It is also found sparsely in the northwestern United States. More common names for Arnica are Mountain daisy, Leopard’s bane and Mountain tobacco. Arnica is toxic when ingested at full strength, but it can be used as an ointment, gel or cream on unbroken skin or taken internally when it is diluted homeopathically.
St. Hildegard, a nun known for her keen observation of nature and physiology, among other things, wrote about the healing properties of the Arnica montana plant in the 12th century. Since at least the 16th century, mountain people in the Alpine area have used it to relieve muscle aches and bruises.
Today, Arnica has grown to be one of the most popular homeopathic medicines throughout the world. It is trusted by professional athletes to soothe sore muscles, by prominent cosmetic surgeons to relieve post-procedure pain, and by savvy moms to treat playground bumps and bruises.
Arnica can also be used to relieve stiffness from flying or long-distance driving. And anyone who bruises easily will appreciate Arnica’s ability to reduce bruise discoloration.
To safely recover from minor injuries, overexertion or surgery, Arnica is a must for every medicine cabinet. Whether you are an active baby boomer, a weekend warrior or a professional athlete, it’s the perfect answer to all of life’s little injuries.
Arnicare Gel offers everyday pain relief where you need it most. It relieves muscle pain and stiffness, and reduces swelling and discoloration from bruises. This non-sticky, non-greasy gel is unscented and quickly absorbed by the skin. It has a cooling effect that offers fast pain relief.
Arnicare’s single active ingredient, Arnica montana, has been safely used for centuries and is one of the most popular homeopathic medicines worldwide. It is recommended by doctors, plastic surgeons and pharmacists, and used by professional athletes. Arnicare works naturally with your body. There is no risk of overdose, no contraindications, no drug interactions, and no side effects when used as directed. My impressions: I've got arthritis in my knees and when I work-out at the end of the day my knees hurt so bad that I can't hardly walk or go to sleep at night. Anything that I thought could help with the pain to ease it Id try. Boiron let me try their Arnicare Arnicare Pain Relief Gel and I was so excited to give it a try. I've been using it on my knees and my back. I noticed when I used it.. it was not at all greasy. It does have a cooling effect which I'm not a fan of, but it goes away quickly and it actually felt as though it numbed my pain deep in my joints. The pain didn't completely go away, but the fact that it subsided was a major improvement! Last night my mother-in-law was hurting really bad after messing up her back and I asked her if she wanted me to try it so we applied some to her back and she said that it helped her so she's confiscated it now for the time being, but I have never - never found a product like this that worked. I've tried Cap-Z and it set me on fire. This doesn't cause any pain. It doesn't have a scent that I can smell. It doesn't interact with any medications either. I looked that up before use because as a person who is on a lot of medication for their heart it's best to be safe.
