My Impression: I was so happy to get to try this out because I wanted to let my family use it as they take in strays and have a shelter and we constantly hear barking 24/7. So, I was off and got the 9v battery it needed as they are not included, but you can find the 9v's at the Dollar Tree so it's no big deal. I started off and programmed it and at first it scared the daylights out of our dogs so I had to turn the frequency down because at a higher frequency it does pick up every little sound so it confuses the dogs and the point is to not confuse the dogs, but to train them not to bark. So, we turned down the frequency and we are in the process of training the dogs now, but in the past week we have no had hardly any barking at ALL. I honestly did not think this would work on the dogs. I thought how can a little sonic egg work, but it did. Some of the puppies are a little more harder to train with it mainly because I don't think they understand where the sound is coming from so I have to place the egg down on the table and say 'no bark' and they can see it light up and they get close to it then back away so essentially they are learning. It's not a miracle device that will banish barking - it takes time and training, but it's not something you have to work hard at. Like I said it's been a week with the Sonic Egg and we've had very minimal barking and that is with over 15 full grown dogs not counting puppies. I would recommend this product to try out if you are on the fence on a product and you don't want to buy those shock collars for your dogs.
