My Impression: In the past couple of years we've had our fair share of phones ranging from expensive to less value. They've lasted a couple weeks then it seems they fail. It's like a dud after dud. I remember having a VTech when I was younger and in middle school. If you've ever been a teenage girl - you pretty much know how good a phone is by how much you talk on it and trust me - my friends and I talked quite a lot and that VTech phone lasted us years. My husband has a wrecker business so we have to have phones that are charged up and working at all times. We bought an expensive pair of cordless phones a couple months ago and they lasted about a month. I let my husband test this phone out and he said it picks up better than all the other phones we've had. He walked about a half a mile from the base and it still picked up which is incredibly impressive for a cheaper phone! Who knows how long this phone will last, but if it's anything like my old VTech I had then I can count on it lasting longer than a month! It has great functions and not a ton of wires that you have to worry about hooking up. It's easily hooked up for those of you who hate wires and the tangles! When you get the phone you'll want to fully charge it for a good use. I've noticed the battery lasts a long time without having to recharge. The ring is as loud as you want. I'm partially deaf and I can hear the ring perfectly as well as hear the person on the other end of the phone great too! I would recommend this phone to those looking for a new phone. The only downside is that this is just the one cordless - if you need another base you'll have to get another. Also, if you need an answering machine be aware that this does not come with one, but all in all for the price which retails at about $19.95 I think is great!
