February Nutrisystem Week 1 Review

Nutrisystem Week 1

Hi everybody! As you know from my 'More Changes Coming Soon' blog post you know that I am starting/started Nutrisystem. So far it's been a week now and that time for me to update you on how my week has been - how I'm doing and so on which I will continue to do each week while on this program. 

This week has been really fun actually. I got my food in about a week and a half ago - set my date to start so it's been full week. I've really enjoyed the food.

I loved encorporating my own favorites to the meals. The hardest part of this week has been drinking the water. I'm not used to drinking so much water so needless to say I don't have much of a taste for it unless I'm working-out. I bought some of the flavoring drops to put in the water to give it a kick every now and then. I've been doing Jillian Michael's dvd work-outs with this system and it's indeed making my muscles sore! I love the chocolate shakes in the morning - I feel they keep me from getting super hungry like I used to through-out the day. I've had to take it slow with working-out to my own pace, but all in all I've followed my diet with Nutrisystem strictly. I've loved pretty much everything I've tried - even foods I've said I've hated for years. I love the fact that some of the foods have a spicy taste to them like the chicken pot pie I had the night before last - I thought this is probably going to be bland, but no - not at ALL. It had bell peppers in it with a kick of spices and the breaded crust to go on top I crushed up into the chicken pot pie and oh my gosh - HEAVEN!

I'm really loving the program - so far this week I've lost 5lbs. An inch off of my arms, thighs, and hips. Oddly I gained an inch above my breasts and waist. So, I'm not sure if that's Mother Nature doing her work on me or maybe where I've been lifting weights I'm not really sure, but I can tell a difference. I've felt super tired this week from trying my best to be active, but I know that will soon change because I've been through working out before if you haven't in a while then you get out of shape and I am really out of shape! I haven't worked out in about 6 months besides walking and such so I was in serious need of conditioning. 

I'm hoping I will see more great results next week until then...
