My Impression: I received Dust n' Go - which I had never used before by Scott's Liquid Gold. I thought I would take it a spin out on my Mother-in-law's Coffee table and as you can see in the first picture the table is very dull and still looks dusty. The furniture always looks this way despite washing it down it looks dingy. I pulled a wipe out of Dust n' Go and began wiping down the table and within a minute my Mother-in-law's table was shiny and vibrant again! The cloths cover a quite large area. I can do an entire table without having to grab another cloth. The scent smells wonderful more of a cherry almond scent to me. It looks as though it filled in the scratches on the table and enriched the piece. It brought out the depths of the wood and the grain is darkened and gorgeous!

Here is The Sunny Seat Cat bed fully assembled. It was fairly easy to put together - The bed material is a lot stronger than I initially thought. I did not at first think it could hold up a lot until I placed the suction cups on the window and had it put together so we tested it out and when I say 'we' I mean my big heavy dog. We have no cats in the house as I'm allergic, but we do dogs and they love sitting up high - they have that cat attitude and mentality. 

My dog weighs about 35lbs. or more. He may look small, but he will absolutely break your legs if he sits on you. I didn't have the suction cups completely centered as you can see in the picture, but he seemed to not care and sat there for a while. Id have to say this would hold any size cat if it will hold him.

February Nutrisystem Week 1 Review

Nutrisystem Week 1

Hi everybody! As you know from my 'More Changes Coming Soon' blog post you know that I am starting/started Nutrisystem. So far it's been a week now and that time for me to update you on how my week has been - how I'm doing and so on which I will continue to do each week while on this program. 

This week has been really fun actually. I got my food in about a week and a half ago - set my date to start so it's been full week. I've really enjoyed the food.

Here are some of my favorites and meals of this week!

ALL WERE SO GOOD!

I loved encorporating my own favorites to the meals. The hardest part of this week has been drinking the water. I'm not used to drinking so much water so needless to say I don't have much of a taste for it unless I'm working-out. I bought some of the flavoring drops to put in the water to give it a kick every now and then. I've been doing Jillian Michael's dvd work-outs with this system and it's indeed making my muscles sore! I love the chocolate shakes in the morning - I feel they keep me from getting super hungry like I used to through-out the day. I've had to take it slow with working-out to my own pace, but all in all I've followed my diet with Nutrisystem strictly. I've loved pretty much everything I've tried - even foods I've said I've hated for years. I love the fact that some of the foods have a spicy taste to them like the chicken pot pie I had the night before last - I thought this is probably going to be bland, but no - not at ALL. It had bell peppers in it with a kick of spices and the breaded crust to go on top I crushed up into the chicken pot pie and oh my gosh - HEAVEN!

I'm really loving the program - so far this week I've lost 5lbs. An inch off of my arms, thighs, and hips. Oddly I gained an inch above my breasts and waist. So, I'm not sure if that's Mother Nature doing her work on me or maybe where I've been lifting weights I'm not really sure, but I can tell a difference. I've felt super tired this week from trying my best to be active, but I know that will soon change because I've been through working out before if you haven't in a while then you get out of shape and I am really out of shape! I haven't worked out in about 6 months besides walking and such so I was in serious need of conditioning. 

I'm hoping I will see more great results next week until then...

A nourishing hair mask for dry, damaged hair.

My Impression: The consistency of the Mask is quite thick as expected. It smells lovely. I left it on for 5 minutes while in the shower and rinsed out - It left my hair feeling manageable and I could comb through my hair easily without tugging.

JANE IREDALE

24-KARAT GOLD DUST - ROSE GOLD

Turn the glow on with this shimmering powder.

My Impression: This color so gorgeous - not just a highlight/glow for cheeks, but a deep pink with a glow that's to die for. It's highly pigmented so you have to be very careful about how much you use, but when added with a light hand - GORGEOUS!

DDF

ACNE CONTROL TREATMENT

An acne lotion to control breakouts.

My Impression: I struggle with break-outs every now and again. Sometimes I just need a spot treatment so I chose DDF Acne Control Treatment as I have DDF's facial cleanser and love it - I thought why not - I wasn't fond of this treatment because it seemed as though where one break-out would clear some another break-out would form. I don't know if the DDF would have had anything to do with it, but it did it every time I applied the treatment. 

CATTIVA

DIVINO LASH MASCARA

Stand out with captivating lashes with this long-wearing mascara.

My Impression: This mascara is pure bling! The bling however is on the outside - the mascara itself goes on soft and comes off as more of a romantic lash. I really enjoy this mascara - the wand is very soft so it does not hurt if it happens to get to close to the rims of my eyes. The black is not the blackest black, but more of a charcoal color - very lovely.

BAREEASE AND CREAM

PREP KIT FOR OUCHLESS HAIR REMOVAL - SMALL-MED

A numbing kit to achieve an ouchless waxing or laser session.

My Impression: I chose BAREEASE because I epilate every week or so and I wanted a product that helped numb the area I was epilating. I found that the cream worked really well, but you had to wait 15-20 minutes for it to take it's full effect - made my hair removal experience a lot easier and less painful!

EXUVIANCE

REJUVENATING TREATMENT MASQUE

Uncover your youngest, most beautiful skin with this luxurious peel-off gel mask.

My Impression: I've heard so much surrounding Exuviance and it's acne control system so I thought why not try their treatment mask - given this mask is not only for acne, but to help wake up the skin ; rejuvenate the skin. So, I put it on - it comes out as a bluish-green color and dries to a light blue. It's a peel off mask which are always fun for me. I feel this mask provided deep moisture for my face and helped me look more awake - also gave a brightening effect as well. I can't wait to maybe try out more of their line in the future. 

GLYTONE BACK SPRAY FOR ACNE

My Impression: I from time to time get acne on my back. I know gross! It's mostly where my bra rests - even though I put on a new freshly washed bra everyday I get break-outs from time to time. I've been using the GLYTONE back spray treatment for acne and though it has a take your breath away strong smell (don't worry it goes away) it works! I've noticed a major difference in break-outs. I've had maybe one break-out where as during certain times of the month I would have 3-4 break-outs and the break-out I did have was tiny and cleared up after using the spray so thumbs up GLYTONE. 

With Beautyfix you can choose from either three bags depending on stock. I chose the larger quilted Beautyfix bag and as you can see it holds quite a lot and has even more room! I've used this bag to bring my shower/toiletries with me when traveling.

My Opinion on Beautyfix: Is it worth it? For 49.99 although a steep price for a subscription service - it is seasonally which makes it a little easier on the wallet. Compared to other subscription services this box gave me all full size products - now that will vary on the website when choosing your picks - so be mindful of the sizes/fl./oz.'s of the product. I like the fact that Beautyfix when clicking on the product you are interested in gives you reviews from live people  and facts about the product so it gives you a good idea of if the product you've clicked on is what you are looking for. You don't get a bag that's flimsy or a box you have to throw away, but you get the choice of either three beautiful bags to keep your items in - to throw in your purse on the go - or like mine a larger bag to take with you while traveling. All in all - this subscription service has blown me away with their products and customer service. I would recommend.

My Impression: I absolutely love this brand! I have seen it around before I believe at Walmart, but didn't know much about it. I had tried other Keratin shampoos and conditioners before, but the result wasn't great so I was skeptical about trying this brand. I really am in love with the way these products work for my hair. I know that I try out a lot of shampoos, conditioners, and treatments. I do a lot of reviews for hair products, but I am honest in the ones that I would recommend. The shampoo felt as though the lather wasn't overly sudsy - I've heard others say it doesn't lather greatly, but it lathered quite nicely for me. My hair felt like it had been fortified when I rinsed it out like it was squeaky clean free of build-up and when I put on the conditioner it was really runny so I thought 'This is not going to do anything for my hair', but I was wrong it was really nice - it is a thin texture, but felt as though in sank right into the hair follicle. My biggest loves are the leave-in treatment, the hair mask, and ultra shine serum. The leave-in treatment has a bit of a tacky texture, but eliminates half of my frizz in my hair while styling and the ultra shine serum is one of my top favorites and has replaced my long time use of Chi Silk Infusion. I apply it to my hair after drying, but you can before and after - I just prefer after. I apply to the ends and when I straighten my hair it's like it just makes my hair like silk and it's super shiny and soft - I LOVE IT! All in all if you had to choose one product out of the bunch pick up the ultra shine serum, but I do recommend all of the products.

My Impression/Dogs Impression: My dogs received the treats in Beef, Turkey, and Chicken. Needless to say when the box arrived they could smell that it was for them. So, I opened up the boxes pulled out the packages and took quick pictures so they could enjoy eating their treats. Normally, they are free fed dog food - so I skip the treats only for special occasions. This happened to be one. So I gave all of them the Beef, Turkey, and Chicken to see which ones they liked the best and you know what? They pretty much eat everything and went back for the bag! My dogs loved these. I've never seen them go after food like that.

This company is so down to earth. The customer service is amazing and the owner is so sweet! I got the chance to choose two signs from her store and I chose the 'FEDEARGOD' and the 'FENAME'. I couldn't have asked for better freshly made signs. They came packaged neatly with old fashioned ribbon tied around the signs. When opening you smell that fresh cut wood smell - oh so wonderful to smell. I was taken back when I finally pulled back the tissue to see these beautiful signs. One stated my husband and I's last name and our year we got married. We are getting ready to move into our own home and we plan on hanging it in our living room after the paint finishes drying. We hung the 'FEDEARGOD' sign up in our room now and it's such a comfort and a reminder to look at everyday. Before & After the BB Cream - Excuse the hair & Make up I didn't put a lot on. 

 My Impression: All in all I love this BB cream. I believe I received a shade too light as I'm used to BB creams coming off more orange or gray. I think that it first comes off as dewy then sets into more of a semi-matte/satin finish. It does not cover all of my blemishes, but it is only a BB cream so I wouldn't expect it to be a miracle worker only that it liven up my skin some and even out my skin tone/texture. It has micro-beads which fade out into color as it rubs into the skin. I picked the lightest shade 'Fair' so now I know that I can pick up 'Light' the next shade up. I think it does look very natural on the skin. I don't feel as though it primes my face I feel as though I need to put a moisturizer on before hand and maybe a tad bit of primer.

My Impression of the Shampoo: I felt as though the shampoo lathered really well. I have a medium length cut so it took only a little bit, but it felt like silk in my hair while washing. When rinsing you could tell it took a lot of the oil out of my hair, but I guess that's what gives it the VOLUME.

My Impression of the Conditioner: I fell in love with the conditioner because it was quite thick and creamy. It felt as though after Shampooing my hair was dryer and the while putting the conditioner in it just sank right into my hair follicles. 

Both the shampoo and conditioner have a herbal scent - not an overbearing herbal scent - it's more pleasant. The shampoo I feel as though it makes your hair feel like it's more of a clarifying shampoo - I'm not for sure that it is or not or if it removes build-up to give the hair it's strength, but I did feel like my hair felt clean and soft while using both products. 

The Nourish line comes in a variety of lines for your type of hair. I chose the Volume because my hair is fine and it lacks volume. I felt when I was blow drying my hair that my hair had more of a lift and was easier to add in volume as well. It gave me volume without frizz and that is a plus!
